KENDALLVILLE, IND. – OCT. 10, 2023 – For the second year in a row, Parkview Noble Hospital has been ranked among the top 10 small community hospitals in America. The hospital was once again identified as one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals® according to an independent quality analysis provided by PINC AI™ and reported by Fortune.
Parkview Noble Hospital was ranked No. 10 in the small community hospitals category and is the only Indiana hospital of any size recognized on the Fortune/PINC AI list this year. This is the second consecutive year and fifth time in the last six years that Parkview Noble has been recognized in Fortune’s 100 Top Hospitals listing.

Parkview Noble Hospital received five-star ratings, representing performances in the top quintile, in all four metrics scored by Fortune/PINC AI: clinical outcomes, operation efficiency, patient experience and financial health.
The 100 Top Hospitals list is based on an objective, quantitative analysis of publicly available, nonbiased data. Organizations do not apply to participate in the study, and award winners do not pay to market their honor.

This year, based on comparisons between the study winners and a peer group of similar hospitals that were not winners, the analysis found that the winners of the 100 Top Hospitals program delivered better outcomes while operating more efficiently and at a lower cost. Compared to non-winning hospitals, this year’s winners had:
- 31% fewer deaths than non-winning hospitals.
- 9% fewer patients with complications.
- 39% fewer healthcare associated infections.
- Nearly 20% lower inpatient expenses per discharge.
- Half-day shorter average length of stay.
- Better reported patient experience scores, with a top-box Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems score of 77% versus 70% for non-winning hospitals.

The PINC AI 100 Top Hospitals program focuses on short-term, acute care, non-federal U.S. hospitals that treat a broad spectrum of patients. Premier conducted the PINC AI 100 Top Hospitals program study in August 2023. Researchers evaluated 2,644 short-term, acute care, non-federal U.S. hospitals and health systems.
