FORT WAYNE, IND. – OCT. 19, 2023 – Community members are invited to preview the new Parkview Southwest Outpatient Center, 8202 Glencarin Blvd., Fort Wayne, during an open house Sunday, Oct. 22, from noon to 2 p.m.
During the open house, the public is welcome to tour the 98,100-square-foot facility, which will be open to patients on Nov. 1.
“As we near the official opening date for the Parkview Southwest Outpatient Center, we are excited to welcome the community and allow everyone the chance to visit,” said John Bowen, president, Parkview Regional Medical Center & Affiliates. “This building will offer a unique blend of outpatient services that will complement and enhance the care available at our adjacent facilities. The Parkview Southwest campus will offer nearly everything patients might need without a hospital.”
The Parkview Southwest Outpatient Center is a three-story building offering multiple services in one convenient location. The first floor features an Emergency Room (ER) combined with an Urgent Care. The ER will be open 24/7, with Urgent Care available 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
This location will be the first in the region to offer the unique ER/Urgent Care model. Depending on diagnosis or time of day, providers will determine if patients require emergency or urgent care – a convenient solution when patients aren’t sure which level of care they may need.
The first floor also features a full outpatient lab and imaging services, as well as pulmonary function testing and home sleep studies.
On the second floor, multiple specialty care services will rotate through the shared clinic space. Specialties will include cardiology, urology, podiatry, neurosciences, cancer, rheumatology, endocrinology, general surgery and colorectal surgery.
The third floor, still under construction, will be home to Orthopaedics Northeast (ONE). ONE will offer multiple outpatient services at this location, including an OrthoNow orthopedic walk-in clinic.
