¡Cocinemos Juntos! – Let’s Cook Together

Join us for an evening of Latin-inspired cuisine! We will be preparing several vegetable-based dishes and tasting them before the end of the evening. Our kitchen will be filled with aromas from food south of the border.  Come and learn how to rework traditional Latino meals for good health.  


Veggie Va-Va-Voom: Cook to Beat Disease

Veggie Va-Va-Voom is a foundational class that explores reversing chronic disease by the power of a healthy plant-based lifestyle.  Veggies are our life preservers!  Each Veggie Va-Va-Voom class will be split into stations where you will learn powerful new ways to punch up the volume of veggies in your diet. 


Salsa Shake and Salsa Make

Join us for a Zumba class followed by powerful salsa dishes!  This class with feature several salsa recipes and use plenty of high-protein ingredients for your workout recovery. 


Sinatra and Salad Masterpieces

Serenade your senses with music from the fabulous Frank Sinatra and sensational salad masterpieces!  This class will focus on the healing effects of both music and fresh produce as we enliven your senses to unique and nutrient dense salads. 


Celebrate Community – Neighbor to Neighbor

Get to know your neighbors as you participate in hands-on cooking that nourishes and restores the mind, body and soul! Embrace a sense of connection as we prepare fresh foods shoulder to shoulder with our diverse community.  You’ll leave class wanting to share healthy meals with your new found friends down the street. 


Cooking Across the Generations

This hands-on cooking class is a beautiful celebration of families and generations. Registration for this class will be split up in to family units so that you can grow together and mentor one another. Children age 6 and older are permitted with an accompanying adult.


Soul Groove: Cooking to Motown

In this class, students will learn to create traditional soul foods with a different respect for their health and well-being.  These recipes will have you dancin’ in the street! This class will offer cloud nine recipes that are signed, sealed, delivered to tantalize your awaiting pallet.


Glorious Greens

Feel the power of leafy greens in new and refreshed ways! In this class, you will learn about different varieties of greens and why they are one of the biggest health changers. Come and see kitchen techniques to include those glorious dark green vegetables that we know are oh-so good for us. 


Slow Flow Yoga and Foods to Calm and Recover

Try slow flow yoga to refine the posture of your body, mind and heart. Then recover with some healthful, calming, and reviving post workout foods, all at the Parkview Learning Kitchen.


Healing Veggies: Cancer Edition 

We welcome patients, survivors, and anyone who has been touched by cancer who are looking for a guiding light. This class focuses on the healing power of fresh produce as a strong wall of defense.


Eat Breakfast Like a Champ

Discover recipe ideas with veggies and produce at an unlikely meal – breakfast! Come and learn ways to fit veggies into your first meal of the day. This class is sure to awaken your taste buds in a brand new way.  


Cookout Creations: Grilling Veggies

This chef-led class offers an opportunity to branch out from plain old burgers and hotdogs to grilled veggie creations that will leave your mouth watering! Students will be inspired to think outside the bun!


Taste the Rainbow: Family Edition

Would you like to see a rainbow every day? You can, on your plate! Many children do not get the recommended servings of fruits and veggies in their diet. This class for families with children 8 years and older will teach the skills to empower you to use the colors of the rainbow to grow a healthy family. An adult must accompany all children under the age of 18. 


Firecracker Fruity Desserts

It’s that time of year to celebrate our country! What better way than to connect with family, friends, and neighbors to share a meal and to remember those who sacrifice for our freedom. Let’s show some love and support by living our best lives and nourishing our bodies with tried and true red, white, and blue, fruit desserts. 


Teen Taco Cook-off

Calling all teens! This friendly chef led cooking challenge will involve 5 teams of 3 participants ages 13-18 years showing off their skills to prepare the tastiest veggie tacos. Experience incredible new ideas for filling tortillas. 


Kids in the Kitchen: Lunch Edition

Struggles over lunch time? Be prepared and pack it! Whether you are sending it to school in a lunchbox or grabbing it for easy lunch at home, it will be ready to go! But did you know that kids are more likely to taste a food if they help to prepare it? Join our Youth Well-being Dietitian for creative lunch ideas that get your kids cooking in the kitchen!


Gardening for Beginners

Learn the basics of vegetable gardening to help make your garden a success! Topics include safe options for controlling weeds, fertilizing, watering, and getting your garden off to a great start.


Pop-ins

Come “pop in” and take a FREE self-guided tour of our beautiful greenhouse and grounds. Enjoy a unique opportunity to check out the many varieties of fruits and vegetables we grow and learn more about the different growing methods used. Pre-registration is not required and visitors must sign in upon entry. Masks and social distancing guidelines will be observed. Due to food safety guidelines, food, drinks and handling equipment or plants will not be permitted during the tour.
